Rene started Specialized Stairs in 1999. Over the past 21 years he has focused on continual company growth and innovation in the custom stair building industry.
My bottom line is I want our team to deliver quality and service on every project so our homebuilders get what they want-happy home owners and homes done on schedule.
Ryan has worked at Specialized for over 14 years and works directly with home builders and clients on designing stairs and managing projects.
When I install railing it has to exude quality. Before I leave a job site, I make sure that everything is done right-otherwise I don’t sleep at night. Taking pictures of the staircase when I am done is my way of capturing the end of a project and the beginning of a piece of art.

I know it sounds corny, but I love coming to work everyday. Every stair job is unique and I love the fact that I can bring creativity to everything I do.
As Specialized Stairs first employee, Chris has 21 years of custom stair building experience.
Installing railing gives me an opportunity to pursue my lifelong passion of woodworking. I develop a personal connection with each and every staircase I build. At the end of each job, I’ll run my hands over the stair railing to make sure everything feels just right.
Sebastian has been installing stair railing with Specialized for over 13 years.
I love sharing the beauty and craftsmanship of Specialized Stairs across North America. Helping our clients through the education process and making sure they get answers to their questions so things gets done right the first time is important to me. I make the process a comfortable, non-stressful one even when we’re in different cities.
Since 2012, Heather has been providing marketing and sales support for local and North American clients.
Two years later he moved into a small shop and hired his first employees. Both are still with the company today. Since 2007 Specialized Stairs has operated in a 15,000 sq ft shop and has been investing heavily in technology and advanced machinery.
In 2013, Specialized Stairs began producing custom curved glass in-house to help reduce project schedules and support advanced stair designs.
In 2014, Specialized Stairs began expanding operations into the USA and has been successfully providing our product to customers across the continent.
