Self Supported Maple

The design challenge was simple: create a staircase that was warm, inviting yet artful all while ensuring an unfettered view of the floor to ceiling windows behind the staircase.

We designed a maple staircase with open rise carpet treads that brought warmth and approachability. Our self supported design removed the need for view blocking posts and our grouped blank spindles and mission posts added a clean linear texture to the staircase.
